NOTE: The Geo Traffic Management (classic) Service is deprecated. Legacy users of the service should contact Concierge for any questions on adding a Geo Traffic Management service to your zone. All other users should use Traffic Director instead.

As one of the services in the Advanced Traffic Management set, Geo Traffic Management (classic) (GeoTM) provides the ability to control DNS responses on a granular/customized geographical rule set. This functionality is different from our Traffic Management and Real Time Traffic Management products, which use 7 pre-determined regional rulesets.

In order for monitoring to occur on your account, please make sure the IP addresses included here (https://manage.dynect.net/help/agents.html) can reach all your network endpoints.  The web page requires you to log on to Dyn’s Managed DNS.

For a list of the granular/customized geographical rule set options, see Predefined GeoTM Regions Groups.

Additionally, GeoTM can be used in combination with other services to provide both the granularity of customized geographical rule sets as well as using the 7 pre-determined regional rulesets where specific granularity is not required.  If this type of setup is of interest to you, please contact our helpful Concierge team to assist you with configuring this feature.

NOTE:  Enabling some Dyn Managed DNS features may affect your monthly billing. Please check the terms and conditions of your contract before enabling any new Services.
