Custom Tracking Domains allow you to customize your email tracking domains to match your brand, giving recipients the security that the links in your messages belong to your domain.
Add Custom Tracking Domain
NOTE: Enabling Track Opens and/or Track Clicks is recommended to fully utilize Custom Domain Tracking.
1. Select Custom Domains from the Approved Senders menu.
2. Add a hostname that you would like your links to be tracked through, such as mail.yourdomain.com or tracking.yourdomain.com.
3. Create a CNAME record for the specified hostname in your DNS configuration that points to trk.email.dynect.net.
Note: You must set up a CNAME record for each different Custom Tracking Domain.
|
|
4. Use the Status section to verify that your CNAME record is set up correctly.
Click the red or green circle to re-check the status of your CNAME record. |
|
5. In the Approved Senders section, apply the Custom Tracking Domain to as many of your approved senders as you would like from the Custom Tracking Domain drop-down menu.
6. Once a custom tracking domain is applied to an approved sender, all email sent from that sender will utilize the specified domain in any Opens or Clicks tracking links.
Note: If the DNS configuration for your custom tracking domain becomes unavailable, you can revert back to Dyn’s default tracking domain or set up an alternative custom tracking domain.

Remove Custom Tracking Domain
