Displays organized groupings of hosts as well as the IP addresses and agent status for each host in each pool.  When an address pool is created, a Regional Rule is also created to correspond with each address pool.  See the Regional Rules section of this document for more information on this feature.

When you first add the Traffic Management Service, the Address Pools section contains the Global Pool without any hosts.

To Add a Host to your Address Pools

1. Select Add Address to this Pool Add first host address into address pool
2. Select Add to add the first host address into the Traffic Manager. Add first host address
3. Select Add to add the first host address into the Traffic Manager.  Add button
4. Use the following information to complete the Address Pool form:

Label –Optional field used to identify this host within the Address Pool.

Serve Mode – Select one of the four options. Click for More Info

Status – Icons display the current status of the address pool.  See Agent Status table on the Traffic Management – Status page.

Address – Enter the IP address or CNAME of the host you are adding to the pool.

Weight – Select the number of times you want this host to served from the DNS out of the pool of hosts available.  Click for an Example

Agent Status – Icons display the current status of the address pool.  See Agent Status table on the Traffic Management – Status page.

5. Select the Save Icon to finish adding the host into the Traffic Manager.

6. Select the Cancel Icon to close the form without saving.
