You can freeze a zone to keep others from making changes to it or thaw a zone which was previously frozen. Use these instructions to freeze or thaw a zone.
NOTE: To freeze or thaw a zone, the user must have the appropriate permissions of either ZoneFreeze or ZoneThaw, or be a member of one of the following default groups: Admin or Owner.
To Freeze A Zone
| 1. Click Overview or Manage DNS |  |
| 2. Click Manage in the far right column for the zone you want to freeze. |  |
| 3. Click the Zone Options tab. |  |
| 4. Click the Freeze Zone tab. |  |
| 5. A confirming question will appear. |  |
| 6. Click Freeze Zone to freeze the zone. |  |
To Thaw A Frozen Zone
| 1. Click Overview or Manage DNS | |
| 2. Click Manage in the far right column for the zone you want to thaw. | |
| 3. Click the Zone Options tab. | |
| 4. Click the Freeze Zone tab. | |
| 5. Zone Messages will show a warning. |  |
| 6. Click Thaw Now! to thaw the zone. |  |
