Understanding How The API Works
Advanced Traffic Management includes Real Time Traffic Management Services (RTTM) and Geo Traffic Management (Classic) Services (GeoTM).
In order for monitoring to occur on your account, please make sure the IP addresses included here (https://manage.dynect.net/help/agents.html) can reach all your network endpoints. The web page requires you to log-on to Dyn’s Managed DNS.
Real Time Traffic Management (RTTM) is a Managed DNS advanced feature, which monitors multiple endpoints to detect the best-performance and populates your regional pools based on that information. |
||
Create an RTTM service | Retrieve RTTM information | Delete an RTTM service |
Create an RTTM Region | Retrieve an RTTM Region | Delete an RTTM Region |
Create an RTTM Region Pool Entry | Retrieve an RTTM Region Pool Entry | Delete an RTTM Region Pool Entry |
Geo Traffic Management (Classic) Services (GeoTM) is a Managed DNS advanced feature, which provides the ability to control DNS responses on a geographical rule set. This functionality is different from our Traffic Management and Real Time Traffic Management products, which use 7 pre-determined regional rulesets. |
||
NOTE: The Geo Traffic Management (classic) Service is deprecated. Legacy users of the service may continue to use these commands. All others should use the Traffic Director service. | ||
Create a Geo Traffic Management (classic) service | Retrieve Geo Traffic Management (classic) service(s) | Delete Geo Traffic Management (classic) service(s) |
Create Geo Traffic Management (classic) Region Group | Retrieve Geo Traffic Management (classic) Region Group(s) | Delete Geo Traffic Management (classic) Region Group |
Create Geo Node (Classic) | Delete Geo Node (Classic) |
