If you’re delegating your domain to its own name servers, Glue records must be created to prevent a circular reference during a lookup. Circular references occur when name servers for a domain can’t be resolved without resolving the domain they’re responsible for.


Creating a Glue Record

3. Click the name of the domain on which you want to set up a glue record. Screen Shot 2014-11-03 at 9.50.28 AM
4. Click Edit Nameservers. Screen Shot 2014-11-03 at 9.52.37 AM

6. Complete the fields in the form:

Host
The host address of your self-referencing name server.
IPv4 Address
IPv4 address of the actual name server.
IPv6 Address
[Optional Field] The IPv6 address of the name server.

Modifying a Glue Record

6. Complete the fields in the form:

IPv4 Address
IPv4 address of the actual name server.
IPv6 Address
[Optional Field] The IPv6 address of the name server.
